Mamapalooza (2016)

While kids can bring out your worst, they need your best!

Published: May 31, 2016 Updated: August 22, 2018

As we've done in years past, 12Stone celebrates Mother's Day in a big way with Mamapalooza.  Senior Pastor Kevin Myers' teaching focused on what mothers need to know about their kids, and what mothers need to do as parents, who are also Christ-followers.  This resource includes Pastor Kevin's video and audio message along with the sermon notes, graphics, all project files, and support videos.

Additional Event Details: Along with the special Mother's Day message, every mom was given a colorful mason jar mug as a gift.  The mugs had handles, lids, and straws, carried the "mymamamatters" tag-line and theme, and came in green, blue, and pink.  (The mugs were purchased from Forte Promotional Marketing.) Our event volunteers created large easels with adult coloring pages framed on them with markers for moms and families to color as they walked in and out of our entrances.  Around the church, there were smaller touches of flower centerpieces and pots/planters around the coloring easels.  In addition, we had “#mymamamatters” floral backdrops for photo opportunities for the moms and families to take pictures and post to social media with the hashtag.

For our single moms in attendance, 12Stone gifted each one with a $50 bill in a card with a special Mother's Day message from their church family.  Important instructions were given: This money was not to be used to pay bills or for the kids' needs. It was money for mom to celebrate in any way she saw fit!  Some moms took their kids out for a Mother's Day dinner; others bought themselves a special gift.
